Joules Fellows Program

The Joules Fellows program is a paid research experience for middle and high school math and science teachers. It is a six-week experience in an engineering lab doing sustainable energy research. Participating teachers receive $5,000.  For more information go to this site.

Event NASA National Community College Aerospace Scholars Program
Date October 20-22, 2010
Location Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX

Students interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) can travel to NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, October 20-22, to work with NASA engineers and scientists on a proposal for a fictitious Martian rover.  Selected students will begin their semester with web-based preparation prior to visiting the Johnson Space Center. The only cost to the student is a $30 registration fee; NASA covers travel up to $1,000, food, and lodging.  Students must be U.S. citizens to apply and must submit the online application by Thursday, July 1st.

The NCAS is a pilot program funded by NASA's Exploration Systems Mission Directorate (ESMD) and administered by NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC).
