Middlesex Community College Offers New Manufacturing Program

Beginning in the Fall of 2009, Middlesex Community College will offer a one-year certificate or an associate degree in Manufacturing Machine Technology.   If you wish to continue your education, you can use your education at Middlesex to pursue Bachelor of Science or Masters degree programs through the Technology Studies program.  This program, which is part of the Connecticut Community College's College of Technology, provides a seamless transfer of credits earned to designated Connecticut colleges and universities.

The college is responding to the expressed needs of the manufacturing community with real-world programs that provide value for manufacturers.  Programs combine math and science coursework with "hands-on" experience valued by employers in the metal-working trades.  Middlesex CC worked with employers to establish courses that prepare graduates for long-term success in manufacturing careers involving manual and CNC machining and industrial management.

The college invites interested candidates to visit the facility.  Tour and information sessions can be scheduled at your convenience.  Take the time to meet with faculty to consider a future in precision manufacturing.
